St. Clair Men's Volleyball Get Huge Win on Road

(Kitchener, Ontario) – The St. Clair College men’s volleyball team travelled to Kitchener on Sunday afternoon to take on the Conestoga College Condors to open up their second half OCAA schedule.

The St. Clair women came away with a huge win defeating Conestoga 3-0. The set scores for St. Clair were 25-21, 25-19 and 25-18. Outside hitter Mike Knight led the way for St. Clair with 16 kills, 3 stuff blocks and 4 digs. Outside hitter Jared Niziolek also had a big game with 16 kills, 1 service ace and 6 digs.

With the win, the Saints record improved to 5-5 on the season while Conestoga slipped to 4-6 . St. Clair avenged an earlier 3-2 loss to the Condors in the first semester. The St. Clair men are currently ranked 10th in the OCAA and sit in 6th place in the OCAA West Division.

The men are next in action on Saturday, Jan 21 when they travel to Hamilton to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers.

Women's Volleyball Improve to 8-2

(Kitchener, Ontario) – The St. Clair College women’s volleyball team travelled to Kitchener on Sunday afternoon to take on the Conestoga College Condors to open up their second half OCAA schedule.

The St. Clair women came away with a solid win defeating Conestoga 3-0. The set scores for St. Clair were 25-15, 25-16 and 25-19. Chloe Stachow led the way for St. Clair with 6 kills, 1 service ace, and 3 digs.

With the win, the Saints record improved to 8-2 on the season while Conestoga slipped to 1-9 . The St. Clair women are currently ranked 4th in the OCAA and sit in a third place in the OCAA West Division.

The women are next in action on Saturday, Jan 21 when they travel to Hamilton to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers.

St. Clair College Women’s Basketball Sweep Cambrian

(Windsor, Ontario) – The St. Clair College Women’s Basketball team recorded an 84-33 home court victory sweeping a weekend doubleheader with Cambrian College (Sudbury) at the SportsPlex Sunday afternoon to move their record to 9-2 in the OCAA’s West Region. The Saints seized control early in this contest jumping out to a 21-5 lead after the 1st quarter and although Cambrian played nearly even in the 2nd quarter still trailed 38-20 at halftime. St. Clair never looked back cruising to the victory and once again held a healthy 62-24 advantage in rebounding. The Saints also got 27 points from their bench and an additional 15 points in second chance points off 20 offensive rebounds. Great ball movement for St. Clair resulted in a season high 28 assists as a team.
